Objectives:

  • Our client is looking to expand their Technology & Innovation Center of Excellence Program to support their mission with a growing number of portfolio organizations.
  • The Technology & Innovation Center of Excellence aims to recruit, grow, and support technology and IT leaders at the company’s portfolio organizations.
  • The need to develop a Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure quality and consistency in execution at scale, and in support of their investment thesis, has become critical to the success of the firm.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Serving as an advisor to C-Suite executives on complex matters including information technology strategy, value creation from technology investment, risk management, cybersecurity, and compliance to enable growth and differentiate their businesses.
  • Supporting, training, and coaching the Center of Excellence Directors to drive high-level performance and delivery value from their team engagements.
  • Consulting on and/or leading execution of complex enterprise systems implementation projects (ERP, CRM, EHR, Practice Management, HRIS, etc.) and interfacing with portfolio organizations’ executive leadership, cross-functional teams, and third-party vendors to exceed expectations on time, budget and quality.
  • Developing strategy and leading execution of Business Intelligence projects to provide portfolio organizations with greater visibility and access to KPIs and analytics.
  • Advising on and/or leading execution of mergers and acquisition projects and activities across the portfolio to ensure efficient & effective integration of technology platforms, mitigate against risks of value erosion and deliver on expected synergies.
  • Conducting diligence projects on prospective acquisitions and identifying technology & organizational synergies, risks, and value creation opportunities.
  • Leading the development and application of tools and frameworks adopted by or in support of the portfolio organizations to build scale, including organizational health assessments, diligence reporting & data room exploration tools, project management best practices, M&A playbooks and more.
  • Supporting and consulting with the company’s Partners investment teams and Center of Excellence members on a variety of projects in support of the firm’s and portfolio organizations’ key objectives and investment thesis.

Measures of Success

  • Execute successfully on 2 or more portfolio organization engagements by developing and executing on IT strategy and exceeding expectations around time, budget, and quality.
  • Develop 2 or more playbooks for M&A, core systems implementations, Data & BI solutions, or other types of projects to optimize outcomes and mitigate against execution risks.
  • Consult with company’s internal team to develop 1 or more proprietary solutions for measuring the performance of portfolio organizations that will enable portfolio organization management and the benchmarking of each portfolio organization’s performance versus the aggregate.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and leadership skills by empowering internal team members and supporting portfolio organizations by way of executive relationship building.

What You Need To Have:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of successful experience building and leading large teams, serving as a technical program or project manager, and driving large-scale technology implementations for enterprise business application, data and/or BI solutions, M&A integrations, or divestures, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a healthcare-related field.
  • Expert-level ability in serving as an advisor, influencer, and change agent to drive results by engaging a broad customer base with varying organizational cultures and objectives.
  • Stellar communication, organizational, time management, and prioritization skills and capabilities.
  • Sharp, energetic, and creative, with the ability to think-on-your-feet.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with speed and accuracy while juggling multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently or as a team, problem solve, and anticipate needs appropriately.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with sensitivity to audience.
  • Outgoing, dependable, and willing to help. No task is too small or too large.

Education

  • Bachelors’ degree in a scientific, engineering, project management, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Masters’ degree in business administration, management, finance, or equivalent experience is strongly preferred.
