Are you a Software Engineer who is passionate about lowering the cost of textbooks and other materials in the college arena?  If so, Elevation Search Solutions has a client with an opening for a Senior Software Engineer (ROR) and wants to speak with you!

What You Will Be Doing:

• Expanding existing software
• Develop new software products from the ground up, staying true to the company’s core values and needs while lending your own creativity to the mix
• Focus on creating fault-tolerant programming
• Create scalable, automated solutions
• Work directly with support to solve customer problems
• Write tests for existing and new code
• Directing software development projects
• Translate business requirements and objectives into technical applications and solutions
• Supports and develops software engineers by providing advice, coaching and educational opportunities

What You Need To Have:

• Bachelor’s degree OR directly related year for year experience
• Six (6) years software development experience
• 2-3 years experience to include JavaScript and/or Ruby on Rails (required) OR a combination thereof

Preferred Qualifications and Experiences:

• Experience with pair programming
• Experience with TDD or BDD
• Working knowledge of SQL, HTML5
• Extensive experience with JavaScript, ES6 or other programming languages
• Ideal candidate brings specialization to complement our existing team: AWS and DevOps
