What You Will Be Doing:

• Effectively work in an Agile team environment developing solutions for core products and Software-as-a-Service platform
• Contribute to, strengthen, and evolve a leading-edge eBook platform and APIs that are used by millions of people across the globe
• Research, prototype, and design new functionality, as well as measure, deploy, and optimize performance across an application ecosystem
• Mentor less experiences software development professionals and consistently improve team process

What You Need To Have:

• Bachelor’s degree or related year for year experience (4+ years)
• Six (6) years experience with Ruby on Rails or other modern web development languages

Added Bonus Experience:

• Experience with large scale, highly available SaaS web applications
• Experience with MySQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Docker, Message Queuing, and other related platform technologies
• Experience with Google Cloud or AWS
• Knowledge of integration standards like LTI, SAML, OAuth, Shiboleth
• Knowledge of LMS technologies like Blackboard, Canvas D21, Moodle, etc
• Experience and a passion for open source development, continuous delivery models, and using best-of-breed tools
• Experience with Agile development environments and working with DevOps teams to create great software
