If so, Elevation is actively seeking a Payroll Coordinator for a Nashville-based emerging software and payroll company made for stagehands, AV professionals and riggers to book, organize and view gigs and we would love to speak with you!
What You Will Be Doing:
- Updating payroll records and verifying work hours
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, which includes calculating salaries, deductions, bonuses, and overtime
- Responding to employee/union workers about payments
- Acting as a liaison between human resources, the client and the union
- Analyzing payroll data and bringing questions/seeing help from the union
- Entering paper timesheets into excel and then Quickbooks
- Printing and running checks to the union weekly
- Maintaining confidentiality of employee information and payroll records at all times
- Managing and handling all administrative aspects of the payroll process
- Monitoring and monitor and staying abreast of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations to ensure strict adherence and compliance
- Working with company accountant regarding any tax concerns
- Using Excel to create client invoices
- Emailing client invoices to them in a timely manner
- Maintaining positive relationships with clients
- Communicating effectively with clients regarding invoice concerns or questions
- Inquiring about and pursuing outstanding invoices for payment
What You Need to Have:
- 1-4 years of experience running payroll for an organization
- Proficiency and expertise with the Microsoft Office suite
- Ability and eagerness to adapt and engage with new technology
- 1 year of proven experience working with Quickbooks (online and/or desktop)
- Clear communication skills
- Efficient organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Exposure to WorkBright software is a nice to have
- Any experience in marketing, or technology training is a plus
