Marketing & Communications Coordinator - Nashville

Are you a self-motivated, deadline driven, creative marketing and communications professional interested in serving in a critical role within a leading association in the health care industry? If so, Elevation is seeking a Marketing & Communications Coordinator role for an organization providing programs, events, and initiatives for leaders and innovators across the health care ecosystem, and we want to speak with you!

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Assisting in and supporting the creation of high-quality, engaging content and building a strong social media presence across various platforms, including articles, videos, website, and social media
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of storytelling efforts and make data-driven adjustments as needed
  • Assisting and directing external vendors and working with internal teams to produce a conference, ensuring it is seamlessly integrated into the overall storytelling strategy
  • Assisting with promotional and production needs for the annual conference and simultaneously occurring events
  • Elevating existing and establishing new channels for engaging company members through digital extensions of in person content (video, digital content archive, blog, etc.) 
  • Fostering community engagement by sharing success stories, highlighting member achievements, and promoting the company’s impact in healthcare
  • Working closely with healthcare leaders to identify and share innovative ideas and insights through thought leadership pieces and keynote presentations
  • Executing strong social media and content marketing strategy and crafting/posting compelling content to engage members and prospects
  • Analyzing social media and content marketing campaigns for reach and engagement  
  • Staying up to date on social media and digital marketing trends
  • Developing visual storytelling elements (PowerPoint presentation templates, video editing and storyboarding, social post visuals, and flyers) that align with company brand
  • Initiating, cultivating and maintaining relationships with local, national, and industry-specific media outlets to secure media coverage and interviews
  • Pitching stories to media on a regular cadence to secure placements
  • Assisting VP Brand, Content and Communications with the production of printed and electronic publications
  • Writing materials and creating the layout of informational materials such as newsletters, e-newsletters, and printed publications
  • Researching materials for and assist in the creation of message points, speeches and position papers (editorials/letters) for the President and Board members as needed
  • Supporting and making recommendations for advertising, public relations, and promotions by writing the narratives, determining necessary outcomes, and adjusting as necessary based on reviewing ROI
  • Taking photos/videos at events/meetings and maintaining the marketing asset library
  • Serving as a liaison for other departments for disseminating internal communications
  • Implementing brand messaging and programming across all touchpoints to ensure strong alignment of all programs and initiatives
  • Serving as internal team support for communications of the President, Board and brand strategy and communications as well as supporting the creation of all external messaging
  • Maintaining an up-to-date website & event calendar and assisting with the day-to-day management of marketing channels (SEO, email, social media, website, content creation, marketing materials and operational duties)
  • Supporting development, execution and delivery of Annual Report and Family Tree publications to members and investors on time
  • Collaborating with event planning teams to develop captivating narratives and content for events, conferences, and forums
  • Acting as an ambassador for the Council, building and nurturing relationships with healthcare leaders, members, partners, and stakeholders
  • Supporting team members as needed with projects and tasks required to successfully achieve organizational goals

What You Need to Have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience and familiarity with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite software is a plus
  • Experience with LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram as well as email marketing, and/or online survey platforms
  • Familiarity and experience with Hubspot and Wordpress is a plus
  • Deadline driven, punctual and detail oriented approach
  • Ability and drive to clearly understand organizational priorities and quarterly priorities
  • Strong project management, written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and range of stakeholders
  • Self-starter mentality with motivation to exceed expectations and acts with urgency and proactivity to execute responsibilities of role, while problem solving for future needs and plans
  • Some understanding of the healthcare industry and the ability to translate complex healthcare topics into compelling narratives
