Are you a creative, solutions-driven event coordinator interested in serving in a critical role within a leading association in the healthcare industry? If so, Elevation is seeking a Coordinator of Events & Sponsorships for an organization providing programs, events, and initiatives for leaders and innovators across the healthcare domain, and we want to speak with you!

Overview:

Working directly with the supervisor, the event coordinator will plan and execute logistics, and provide administrative support on the events team. In addition, the role will handle the fulfillment of sponsor benefits as related to events. This position will also coordinate the logistics of a pre-determined set of organizational events, ensure they are accomplished with superb quality, and exceed the standard of industry excellence.

What You Will Be Doing:

Project/Event Management

  • Planning and executing all company events.
  • Setting up and running the technical functions for all virtual events.
  • Leading events review during weekly staff meetings.
  • Participating in budgeting process with supervisor for events under responsibility.
  • Tracking and managing budget expenses for areas of responsibility.

Sponsorship Fulfillment

  • Serving as liaison with sponsoring organizations to fulfill sponsor benefits, maintaining excellent customer service, and building relationships with member representatives.

Support

  • Managing events set up in company database.
  • Providing additional database support as needed.
  • Completing task items as defined on the event timelines.
  • Researching, securing, and coordinating the work of contracted vendors.
  • Organizing of all event materials and event staging areas in the office.
  • Overseeing vendor relationship to manage the maintenance and care of event equipment.
  • Creating and sending of post-registration event communications.
  • Supporting supervisor as needed.
  • Providing general internal team support as needed and requested by organizational leadership.

What You Need To Have:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in event coordination.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of computer programs.
  • Proficiency in running virtual event platforms (zoom, Microsoft teams etc.).
  • Knowledge of event industry terminology and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks through strong organization skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Quick learner, intuitive thinker.
  • Preference for and proven success with highly detailed work.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to make accurate judgements and decisions on-site at events to best serve the internal and external customer.
  • Great enthusiasm, positive attitude, and a self-starter.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of the health care industry is a plus.
  • Requires early morning and evening events.
  • Team player spirit.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Travel as needed.
