What You Will Be Doing:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining PLC and HMI software programs and robotics•Programming and integrating various off-the-shelf components (PLC, HMI, safety logic, cameras, robots, sensors, VFDs, servos, etc.) including Yaskawa, Fanuc, Keyence, Cognex
- Designing, building, commissioning and debugging control systems for custom machines and automation cells
- Revising programs to operational order based on customer requirements
- Coordinating with customers on functional and user interface requirements (HMIs, MES integration, etc.)•Creating electrical schematics and helping team members interpret prints/assemble control panels
- Participating in standardization efforts of components, processes, and designs
- Adopting Monday.com platform and managing projects within
- Modifying program/system logics consisting of multiple systems and subsystems
- Interacting with external/internal customers to gain an understanding of their business environment and define the scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned work
- Creating Bill of Materials and maintaining other necessary documentation
- Working with procurement on sourcing and alternative components/suppliers due to supply chain constraints
- Supporting equipment deployment and service at customer sites
- Developing machine manuals and documenting projects
- Helping with team training and guidance
- Participating with sales on concepting and quoting projects
- Understanding and assuring compliance with applicable industry safety standards
- Communicating with mechanical designers, machine builders, panel builders, and controls engineers throughout the design process
- Responding to service calls to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair programming and system failures
- Training customers on machine use and operations
What You Need To Have:
- 5+ years of experience
- Experience/exposure to software as follows: Allen Bradley, Keyence, AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical, Mitsubishi, Yaskawa, Automation Direct, Banner, Siemens, EasyBuilder Pro
- Understanding of various communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, OPC UA)
- Knowledge of SCADA programming, including FactoryTalk, Ignition, SQL preferred
- Attention to detail
- Good time management and communication skills
- Travel flexibility for occasional service at customer sites
