If so, Elevation Search Solutions is actively recruiting a Chief Executive Officer in the Kingsport area, and we would love to speak with you! 

What You Will Be Doing:   

  • Overseeing and motivating a team of Department Directors across operations, commercial sales, health sales, life sales, and accounting  
  • Providing operational and strategic direction and vision for the organization ensuring its  alignment with short and long-term objectives
  • Leading growth initiatives, expanding the company, and driving profitability
  • Creating and upholding relationships with partner carriers  
  • Positively representing the organization in the community and with carriers, customers, staff, and colleagues 
  • Maintaining and cultivating the rich company culture through empathetic leadership  
  • Implementing technology and processes as needed to increase efficiency for staff and improve the customer experience 
  • Driving growth and expanding into additional markets through new offices and/or acquisition  
  • Reporting to a Board of Directors
  • Reviewing, executing and renewing all agency contracts
  • Creating and monitoring the agency budget, expenses, income statements, balance sheets, contingency income payables and receivables

What You Need to Have: 

  • At least 5+ years of executive-level leadership experience in an independent insurance agency
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an applicable field of study required, masters preferred  
  • Insurance licensure highly preferred
  • Proven experience as a prior CEO NOT required
  • Defined business and strategic acumen required  
  • Excellent communication and dynamic team leadership skills 
  • Exceptional relationship management and cross-functional leadership skills required 
  • Ability to develop and cast a growth vision and strategy
  • Strong change management skills 
  • Respect for the agency history with a focus on cultivating the staff 
  • Resourceful, results-driven attitude 
  • Approachable, even-keeled temperament with the ability to operate well in fast-paced environment
